Our homes are looking for cooks to prepare and share dinner (weekly or bi-weekly) and ideally, engage our core members in some of the meal preparation. Also, a wonderful opportunity to “create relationships” with the members of our community. (There is also the option of bringing meals to our homes if you don’t have the opportunity to spend time in the house).

Seeking an English-speaking volunteer to support and be with a senior (female) member of our community for a few hours on Mondays or Tuesdays (in the Carlingwood Mall area). Opportunity to do arts and crafts, go for walks and to the Mall, etc.

Seeking a Male or Female of any age, coming on weekends from 12 to 3 pm (in the Carlingwood Mall area) and interested in supporting individuals with the following activities: going for a walk, coffee, colouring, going to the mall, painting nails, watching a movie, etc.

Semi-independent man in his 50’s who loves sports seeking a male (English-speaking) volunteer to help him on a weekly or bi-weekly basis at the Carlingwood Mall Gym (YMCA), attend sporting events (i.e. at TD place, etc..).

Seeking a Male or Female of any age looking to spend time with two joyful residents that are fairly independent to go for outings (dinner, coffee, walk, movies, etc.) once or twice a month

L’Arche Ottawa is looking for gardeners that could help us maintaining our properties with beautiful flowers and plants. Some help is also needed for growing food in the backyard of one of our residence.

L’Arche Ottawa is seeking volunteers to sit on its Board of Directors. We are especially seeking candidates who can help us with fund-raising, communications and finance - folks who are able to share their time, energy and if possible, their board experience.
