Para Normal

This video lovingly depicts life of core members in one of our L’Arche Ottawa homes. Many of us consider everyday tasks as "normal" and take them for granted - using a computer, making friends, or growing vegetables in the backyard. Meet five adults with developmental disabilities who share their lives in a L'Arche Ottawa home. Despite their challenges, they teach us about the joys of learning they encounter every day.

The film was created by the home’s house leader, Rostyk Makushak, and won TVO’s 2015 Short Doc Competition

In September 2012 , two members of the L'Arche Ottawa community, Gyde Shepherd and Martin Goulet, visited Jean Vanier in Trosly, France.
